The trip

The whole Quarter plays. You skip the drive.

French Quarter Festival puts local music on more than twenty stages across the neighborhood: Jackson Square, Woldenberg Riverfront Park, the French Market, Bourbon and Royal Streets, and the New Orleans Jazz Museum at the Mint. Traditional jazz, brass bands, zydeco and gospel, with food from New Orleans restaurants in between. It started in 1984, and it costs nothing to walk in.

It is also about six hours from Tallahassee, and the festival itself warns that parking in the Quarter is hard. So we drive it. The van takes you to New Orleans, you spend the day on the streets and the night wherever you have booked, and the van brings you home the next day. Nine seats, one driver, and no festival ticket to buy.

0 of 9 seats booked. 4 more seats and the van runs.

A seat is $120.00. Pay now, and if the van does not fill, every cent comes back. It leaves in 207 days.

The festival, in its own pictures

The festival keeps a gallery of its 2025 photos, and its Instagram and Facebook are the closest look at the Quarter on a festival day.

No ticket needed

Buy the ride here. The festival is free.

French Quarter Festival is free to attend. There is no admission to pay to hear the music. What we sell is the ride: from Tallahassee to New Orleans, and home again the next day. Your bed for the night is yours to book.

Food, drinks and some special events cost money. The festival also sells Fest Family VIP passes, with shaded lounges, private restrooms and an elevated viewing stand. They are optional, and only the festival sells them.

How it goes

Getting on. Be at your pickup a few minutes early. It is a long drive, the van leaves on time, and it does not come back for a second run.

  • FSU Union
  • Governor's Square Mall

In the Quarter. You are dropped at the French Quarter, and the stages are spread through it. Bags are checked at the main sites, and outside food and drinks, coolers and glass bottles are not allowed in. The festival has its own app, with updates through the weekend.

The night. Where you stay is yours to book, so book it before you book your seat. We do not arrange rooms.

Coming home. The next day the van comes back for you at the time on your booking. Put that time in your phone before you head out.
