What it looks like

Insomniac's own aftermovie from EDC Orlando 2025.

The trip

The carnival runs late. So does the van.

EDC Orlando turns Tinker Field, an old ballpark two miles from downtown Orlando, into a carnival for dance music. There are stages like Kinetic Field and Neon Garden, full-size rides, glowing art you can walk through, and stilt walkers and aerialists working the crowd all night. The festival has called Tinker Field home since it first came to Orlando in 2011.

It is four hours from Tallahassee, and it lets out late. The festival itself says general parking is extremely limited and asks people to carpool. So we drive it: the van takes you to Tinker Field, waits out the night, and brings you home. Nine seats, one driver, and nobody in your group spends the last set thinking about the drive back.

0 of 9 seats booked. 4 more seats and the van runs.

A seat is $90.00. Pay now, and if the van does not fill, every cent comes back. It leaves in 53 days.

Two tickets

Buy the ride here. Buy the pass at orlando.edc.com.

A seat on the van is not a festival pass. What we sell is the ride: we pick you up in Tallahassee, drop you at Tinker Field, and bring you home at the end of the night. Getting through the gate is between you and the festival.

The festival sets its own age rule, and on its hours and info page it puts it like this: “You must be 18+ to enter and 21+ for alcohol/VIP. Valid photo ID is required.” The same page lists which kinds of ID it accepts.

Two more things to check before you book a seat: that your pass covers the day this van runs, and that you are ready to stay in once you are through the gate, because the festival does not allow ins and outs.

How it goes

Getting on. Be at your pickup a few minutes early. The van leaves on time and does not come back for a second run.

  • FSU Union
  • Governor's Square Mall

At Tinker Field. You are dropped at the festival. Your pass is your own to buy; we only drive. Every bag is searched at the gate and the festival keeps a long list of what it allows, so read it before you pack. Big bags and backpacks are on the no list.

Coming home. The van waits for you at the time on your booking, at the spot where it dropped you. Put that time in your phone before the first set, and look at it again before you commit to one more.
